There's a festival!
That's basically what happened. I woke up, played some video games and checked my e-mail, took a shower, then went to go get some food from the cafeteria. And then I saw that there was a festival going on.
Whaaaa?
There was a bazaar with mostly womens clothing and nothing interesting, a bunch of food (That was pretty good. Delicious fried wontons) and some live music. The bands weren't very good though, but I stayed for a bit anyways. Ran into some friends, talked to some people (A friend told me about some basketball tickets so I picked those up the other day, and we talked a bit about that. I got the wrong day I think, though, so I gotta go get me another one).
Oh, also there were people in costumes.
These guys were dancers for the one band and were dancing to the lyrics. Pretty amusing, but they seemed to do a lot of shooting each other and falling down.
Then there was also some Super Sentai (Power Rangers) characters running around. I tried to get a picture of them, but in Japan they insist on a picture with them, so I was literally manhandled into the photograph, my iPhone taken from my hands and given to an onlooker, and force to pose with the team.
I consider this my initation ceremony, and as such donned my sentai mask so that I can fit in with the team.
Engine Sentai GoOnger.
